Shoreline Crew is published by Shoreline Media Group LLC (“we”), 66 South Broad St. Unit 1026, Pawcatuck, CT 06379. This page covers the newsletter, this website, and the forms and shop we run from them.

When you subscribe. We collect your email address and any optional details you choose to share (like your town). Subscriptions are processed by beehiiv, our newsletter platform, which also records standard delivery data such as opens and link clicks.

When you visit this site. Our website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

When you send a tip. The submit-an-event form asks for your tip and, if you want a reply, your name and email. Submissions reach us through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. We use them only to check out the tip and get back to you.

When you answer a reader questionnaire. From time to time we invite readers to share how they live on the shoreline. Those questionnaires run on Google Forms and do not collect your name or email. Answers may be edited and published in the newsletter and on this site without names, and we remove or generalize details that could identify you before anything runs (our Terms of Use cover publication). Because the form is anonymous, we can’t trace a submission back to you on our own; if you want something you sent removed, email us with enough detail to find it and we’ll take it down.

When you buy an Almanac. Stripe handles checkout and collects your name, email, shipping address, and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, shipping address, and what you ordered so we can mail the book and answer questions about it; we never see your full card number. To mail the book we share your address with our shipping-label provider and the postal service. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

What we do with it. We send you the newsletter you signed up for, use engagement data to understand what readers find useful, follow up on tips, fill orders, and publish the reader stories described above. That’s it.

What we never do. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or personal information with sponsors or anyone else. Sponsors see aggregate audience numbers only, never individual reader data.

Your choices. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. You can also manage preferences from any issue’s footer, or email contact@theshorelinecrew.com and we’ll handle it for you, including full deletion of your data.

Third parties. beehiiv (newsletter delivery), Web3Forms (form delivery), Google (Forms and Analytics), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (website hosting) process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. Links in the newsletter and on this site go to external sites we don’t control.

Children. The newsletter and this site are written for adults. You must be 18 or older to answer a reader questionnaire, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes. When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
